For those with a sense of adventure, the guests can explore a remote lake or take a guided fishing package to suit their needs. The guides at Niobe Lake Lodge originate from the Atikokan area and are experts in what they do. Niobe Lake Lodge also has moose shares in two Wildlife Management Units. Success rates have been excellent in both areas. Ninety percent of the hunters have been Non-residents who hunt during the archery season.
Niobe Lake Lodge guest have access to a variety of activities including swimming, fishing, canoeing & kayaking, hiking and bird watching. Also, with Atikokan just a short drive away, guests have access to golfing, tennis, biking trails, beach volleyball courts and a unique variety of shops carrying locally made gifts.
The resort includes a main lodge, seven cottages, an office, a large workshop, fish cleaning building, pump house, wood shed and a gas shed.
Main Lodge: The main lodge is 2400 sq. ft. It features an open-concept fully equipped kitchen, licensed dining room, two bedrooms, laundry room and three bathrooms. This building is heated with forced-air propane and is designed for year-round use. There are two decks and an outdoor patio/BBQ area. Pathways provide easy access from the main lodge to all cottages and outbuildings.
Cottages: One 4-bedroom Cottage: This cottages features a large open-concept living/dining/kitchen area. The bedrooms are a nice size and this cottage is equipped with two 4-piece bathrooms, a deck overlooking the lake, satellite television, wireless internet and air conditioning. A forced-air propane furnace is the heat source for this cottage. This 4-bedroom cottage sleeps nine people in single beds and also has two pull-out couches.
Five 2-bedroom Cottages: All five of these 2-bedroom cottages were constructed in 2001. They are wood frame construction with treated pine exteriors. Each cottage has satellite
television, wireless internet, air conditioning and includes and open concept kitchen/living area, 4-piece bathroom, two bedrooms and a deck overlooking Niobe Lake. Each cottage has four single beds and a pull-out couch and is heated by electric baseboard heaters. The septic system servicing the five cottages was professionally installed in 2001.
One 1-bedroom Cottage: The one-bedroom cottage was constructed in 2005. It features an open-concept living/dining/kitchen area, one 4-piece bathroom, a screened patio area overlooking the lake, satellite television, wireless internet an air conditioning. It has two single beds and a pull-out couch.
Workshop: This building was constructed in 1996 and is 36' X 60' in size. It has 16' high interior walls, cement floor, metal exterior siding and a metal roof. It is heated with an oil forced-air furnace and propane backup. This building is perfect for all the resort's storage and repair needs.
Fish Cleaning building: The fish cleaning building was built in 2001 and features a bug-free screened area, running water and stainless steel countertops for easy cleanup.
